Manitoba Conservation Officers Recognition Day act proclaimed

Winnipeg (31 May 2017) — On May 30, Michelle Gawronsky, President of the Manitoba Government and General Employees Union (MGEU/NUPGE) attended the Manitoba Legislative Building, where she joined conservation officers in listening to the second reading of Bill 226, The Manitoba Conservation Officers Recognition Day Act.

In the words of the Act, “it is important to honour Manitoba’s conservation officers for their selfless work, and recognize that conservation officers deserve protection and support in carrying out their important enforcement duties.”
